Key Responsibilities:

Account Development & Management

  • Deliver on aggressive growth and sales targets (Monthly/ Quarterly/Annually) from existing channel partners
  • Develop relationships with management, sales heads and ground teams of channel partners to drive sales
  • Lead the field support team to accelerate channel partners' on-ground performance through local activation, training and problem-solving activities
  • As new channel partnerships emerge, work closely with the partner's management and ground teams to rapidly drive activation plans and create scale.
  • Provide insights to marketing and operations teams for various levels of the partner to increase sales 
  • Use data-driven approach to plan and forecast sales in tandem with the channel partners

 

New Business Development

  • Responsible for providing support in closing key account acquisition
  • Responsible for providing intelligence on potential new account
  • Deepen relationships with prospects by looking at opportunities for upselling/ cross selling etc.
  • Be proactive about solving problems even if it's outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge
  • Understand and be aware of competition and use this information to acquire a partner effectively.

 

Sales Operations (Tech & Supply Chain)

  • Establish him/herself as a trusted advisor and POC for the channel partners to handle operational issues
  • Provide timely support and insights to operations team to ensure the better logistics and delivery
  • Be proactive in suggesting ideas and innovations to further improve the cost, processes and systems
  • Directly work with in-house product and tech team for any API requirements from channel partners

Marketing

  • Take initiative in suggesting the sales activation plans and ground insights to marketing team
  •  Lead on ground activation of marketing campaigns for channel partners
  • Represent AgroStar in regional conferences, workshops and events

 

Specifications

  •  Past experience of enterprise sales, channel sales and partnerships in rural finance, rural banking, microfinance, rural insurance and other rural distribution channels
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70% of the time to metro cities, state capitals and rural areas
  • A hustler and empathetic person who can collaborate and execute the business fast
  • A storyteller who can connect with CXOs and a last mile farmer very well
  • Hands on experience with MS Excel or any other analytics tool
  • This position eventually transforms into a business head role over a period of time depending upon the performance and deliverables, so we need a person with entrepreneurial mindset, appetite to do more and learn fast.
